ClassiQuest has presented a number of Mr. Loeb's recordings. Many mix Western and Eastern instruments in fascinating combinations and sound-worlds and this disc is no different.
This is the second album of solo compositions for Japanese flute and it contains selections that contrast with the first recording- Sky Echoes VMM-2044- also available through ClassiQuest. The shinobue is a Japanese bamboo flute with seven holes and no keys. It can be found in different sizes and on this recording Mr. Loeb uses four sizes.
