Information:
Don Walker recieved a Ph.D. in Composition from the University of California, Berkeley. He has taught at tthe Univeristy of California, Sonoma State University, the University of South Florida and Oregon State University. He has composed over 100 works which have been awared many prizes. His esthetic stems from the example of Charles Ives. He generally rejected the pure use of abstraction and post-Webernian serialism and has embraced all styles and techniques.
This recording is a wonderful cross-section of his work.
