Information:
Ricardo Llorca is one of the most promising talents to emerge from the new generation of contemporary Spanish composers. After studies in Madrid and Vienna, in 1988 he entered the doctoral program at Juilliard under the guidance of David Diamond and John Corigliano. He has received numerous important awards, such as the Richard Rogers Scholarship, The Almudena award and the John Simon Guggehheim Award. His works have been premiered in most major cities. The major work here for piano and orchestra was composed in 1999. The fine soloists is well known through his discography on such labels as BIS.
