The disc featured above covers a lot of "20th century" ground, but you will find it fascinating and in many places and at many turns excitingly fresh. This is due to Mike's high level of musicianship and acknowledgment of musical detail.
In past years, this disc would have had to carry the horrible label of 'crossover', but listening to these renditions by Mike and his fine adaptations to his instrument, these can stand as transcriptions, in the best use of that term.
