| Information: John Carbon was born in Chicago in 1951. His composition teachers include Thea Musgrave, Paul Cooper and Peter Racine Fricker. He now teaches at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. His music has been gaining prominece over the last years and has been hailed in the press from the New York Times to Fanfare Magazine. The Violin Concerto and Clarinet Concerto (Stoltzman) both appear on MMC label. The natural dramtic flair and virtuosity in Carbon's works find a natural outlet in the concerto genre. | ||
