This disc was recorded in October, 2006 at the United Church of Monticello, Monticello, Iowa.
The chamber music of Hummel is not so frequently encountered on recordings. Is is delightful, tuneful music of its time. His prodigious talent of keyboard improvisation and manipulation and recreation of melodic material- known and thought tohave rivaled Beethoven at the time can be clearly heard in these transparent chamber works.
