Though both of these works were written for one piano, four-hands, these artists have decided to record them using two pianos. Petrouchka requires extensive piano choreography for four-hands- one keybaord. Rite of Spring is nearly impossible. Boyd & Schoenhals have taken the orchestral scores into consideratiojn as well as they prepared these versions. Both men are highly-established and much-lauded pianists. These versions will quickly shoot to the top of everyone's list when wanting to hear an alternative to the better-known orchestral garb.
