Information:
This is a fascinating program put together by the artists to show the changing styles of music from the end of the 19th century to the first decades of the 20th century, albeit with some later works of the same style thrown in. The McPartland work was commissioned by Rees from the great jazz pianist and the Williams and Capers pieces are blues/boogie-gems definitely worth the listen.
