| Information: Dary John Mizelle studied trombone, theory, and composition in California. Mentors include Larry Austin, Richard Swift, Jerome Rosen, Karlheinz Stockhausen, David Tudor, Roger Reynolds, Robert Erickosn, Pauline Oliveros, and Kenneth Gaburo. In his writings he has specialized in the sonic, structural and theatrical aspects of contemporary music. He has composed over 300 works and even had a 25-year retrospective concert at Symphony Space in New York City. His works have drawn comparison with Ives, Cage, Messiaen, Bartok and Xenakis. The first two works here were written specifically for the performers on this recording. Margaret Leng Tan is one of the world's foremsot new-music pianists. | ||
