Track 4 - A Mixed Blessing Composer: Michael Amendola,etc.
Although Michael Amendola has a certain stature in the jazz comunity, he is best knwon to audiences as a member of the banjo virtuoso Tony Trischka's band. Big Sunflower, Amendola's solo project, allows the saxophonist to take center stage. He collaborates with long-time friends and fellow New York Jazz scene artists who already know and are committed to Michael's music. Amendola's musicianship can be heard by many across the country as Tony Trishka is currently touring to promote his new album, "New Deal." Big Sunflower may be the first Amendola solo project, but it will doubtless not be the last.
